Well, things have been hectic with flying back and forth to MSN and taking care of the house. No showings this week . . . makes me worry. The realtor said that things would slow down around the holidays. . . will we ever sell this place? Driving out to Mom and Dad’s tomorrow for Thanksgiving. Will be a long drive with Walter. I hope that he behaves.
Off again. . .
Well, I am off again to MSN to see Shawn. Need to go back to meet with the builders again about the house. Dropped off Walter at Villlage Gate to be boarded and cleaned the house all day again. My flight is tomorrow and I can’t wait.
Back in town
Well, back in town from my trip out to MSN and it was great! Just wish that I could have stayed longer. The plans for the house are awesome. So excited to do this! Also have a wonderful time with Shawn. Even though he had to work, it was great to spend time with him. It was so hard to leave again.
Unfortunately, no offers yet on the house, so back to the daily grind of cleaning and scrubbing.
Off I go
I am going to go visit Shawn for the week! I am flying out tomorrow and will be there until the 29th. I am so looking forward to it! I need to get out of this house and the endless cycle of cleaning. We are going to meet with the builders on Tuesday as well! Can’t wait to see the plans that they have come up with for us.
Well, I have to get back to my last super cleaning before I leave. The realtor is having an open house tomorrow while I am gone. I hope that something comes of it.
Scrub a dub dub
Took Walter to Doggie Day Care today. Thank God for that place! He gets to play with all of his doggie friends and wears his butt out! While he was gone, I scrubbed the house from top to bottom. Mopping floors, washing window, the whole nine yards. I needed to get the whole house clean and in order for another round of showings. Hopefully, one will turn out to be an offer! One can only hope . . . until then, I will keep on scrubbing.

Inspired
Tonight I went to a preview showing for an art exhibition that the GHMC Arts Council is sponsoring. We are judging a pumpkin carving contest tomorrow at the event. It has been so long since I have been to a show and it was fantastic. I was so inspired by the works and the people. I just wish that I would be able to take advantage of the creative juices that are flowing. I am thinking that maybe I can get the sketchbook out to maybe capture some ideas that I am having. I just wish that I had a space to put them into action..
Another great thing going on is that we received some initial sketches for the house yesterday. Shawn and I went over them on the phone and also talked with our realtor about them. We have decided on the basic floor plan and now the contractor can start drawing up some more detailed plans for us. So excited that we are finally getting somewhere! Now all we have to do is sell the house.
Autumn
It has been insanely, record-breaking hot here. I mean 90’s in October! However today is the finally more in line with the season. Chilly, crisp air. Mmmm it even smells like it now, dry leaves and wood smoke. All i need is a caramel apple and I am ready to go.
What I crave . . .
Okay, so I am rummaging in the kitchen for dinner. Nothing sounds good. So I have a bowl of cheerios and a banana. Definitely not a Michelin three star meal. But what I have really been craving is a Chicago-style hot dog. I know, it is not the healthiest thing in the world, but a Bozo ‘Vienna Beef’ hot dog that is “run through the garden” is something that I haven’t had in over a year. Who could resist this yumminess?
House for sale.
Well the open house is over. The realtor said that we had 9 people show up for the open house, which she said is really good for two hours. I wonder how many of them were the neighbors. . . We also had a showing after the open house, plus the one we have today. I am hoping that something comes of this soon. I know that I need to be patient and that the house has been on the market for only a week, but I hate this waiting game. Can’t someone please buy this place?
On a side note, I am happy to report the the Chicago Bears had a come from behind victory last night against the hated Green Bay Packers!
