A special thanks to all of the veterans of wars past and present. Your duty and sacrifice is a testament to all that is good in our country.

General posts about myself, friends, and family.
Sorry for the lack of recent posts, things have been busy around here. The weekend at Club Ponderosa was a ton of fun. Great to see all the family and celebrate mom’s birthday. Happy that I was able to get home and see everyone, since I’m not going to be able to travel for the holidays – doctor’s orders.
It seems that as soon as we got back in town the calendar has been packed with appointments, meetings and events to attend. Thankfully, things have calmed down a bit now and I can get some much needed rest. I’m pooped! I’m starting to get into nesting mode and starting to plan the nursery as well as having to get serious about researching things for the registry. I have to admit that it is a bit overwhelming. So much stuff and so many options! I’m starting to think that I should just let him sleep in the bathtub and carry him around in a papoose. . . . thinking that Shawn is going to veto that option.
Geez o man! Where did July go? Sorry for the lack of posting, but its been a jam packed summer the past few weeks. Lots of hours logged at the pool and on the golf course and extended visits from family and friends has meant not too many hours logged on the computer. Hoping that everyone is enjoying themselves and are staying cool!
My sister and nephew are here visiting for the week. They always come to visit when they are out of school and it marks the beginning of summer for me. We’ll spend most of the week at the pool and lounging around outside. I think that we’re going to have another strawberry adventure as well. Here’s to a great summer ahead!
just checking in. Super busy with unpacking and house stuff. Hoping to have a normal post soon.
Just wanted to let you know that we’re totally moved into the house! No more crappy apartment and driving to the other side of the world. Yay! We spent the past week unpacking and unloading our lives. I know it’s silly, but I am so happy to see my stuff again! My pots and pans, my sewing machine, my wonderful bed! I missed you all. Things are super busy right now, but I’m going to be back to posting on a regular basis. I promise to take some photos once we get all the boxes out of here to see what our new home looks like.
Well, we are going to be moving into the new house tomorrow! I cannot even begin to explain how happy I am that we’ll be out of this godforsaken apartment and into our new home. After the hellacious past few months, we will finally have the comfort of being in our space, giving us the ability to gather strength and start a new chapter in our future. I’ll be taking a break on posting until sometime next week, once the dust has settled and the pack peanuts have been cleared.
